My oops. I am a retired fire sprinkler and plumbing contractor contactor. I used to own a pipe threading machine that had a 2 1/2 to 4" die head that could be set for either tapered or non tapered. The non tapered was for electrical so nuts could go on farther.

We one time had a big fire sprinkler job prefabed by big shop in Sacramento area. It all came non tapered. What a wreck
