Re: carb. rebuilder
I have been doing carbs since the mid 60's (all carbs) and specialize in mid 50's Ford products. I guarantee and stand behind my work. I'm sure I can also beat Daytona's price by quite a bit. They do have a good reputation though. I have heard a lot of bad news about Pony Carburetor though.
I have done many 1957 ford Holleys etc. Can do anything from a spot repair, to a rebuild, to a restoration and re-coloring. Thanks, Sal Cicala |

Re: carb. rebuilder
When I go to these links, I don't see any reference to anyone named Ken, or anything about carburetor service.

Re: carb. rebuilder
Yes Daytona sure has the reputation. If you want to save $$ I can send pictures of my work and guarantee for function and appearance. I am not a commercial advertising business and just work out of my home, but have experience since 1966 and know the inherent weaknesses of mid 50's Ford carbs and do it right. I don't just clean and reassemble. Sal Cicala

Re: carb. rebuilder
Not that I"m anybody- BUT- I"ll vouch for Sal.
He did an original old dual quad teapot carb of mine that is flawless. I would consider Sal Pony Carbs is out of business due to the recent passing of the founder. Oldmics |

Re: carb. rebuilder
You mean you can't magically make a carburetor out of a box of parts?

Re: carb. rebuilder
I have bought kits from Daytona Carb. Top notch stuff and resistant to the ethanol fuels of today. Not the cheapest up-front cost, but great value when you consider that this stuff will last for many years. VR, JT

Re: carb. rebuilder
I have purchased a number of kits and individual parts for the Holley teapot from Daytona Carb parts down in Florida. I echo the sentiment as well. You get what you pay for with them and I have had "0" problems. The fellas that I rebuild these carbs for are very happy with the real world driving results. Two of them are daily drivers.

Re: carb. rebuilder
I would recommend Mike Suter from Penndel PA...his Tel # 215-757-3678.....He did a teapot for my 56 T-Bird two years ago at a reasonable price and it still runs like new without any problems......He also did a two barrel for my 55 ford club sedan over two years ago and it performs flawlessly...Mike is one of the tech advisor for the Y-Block engines in the CVA (crown vic assoc)John in CT

Re: carb. rebuilder
I just got a carb from Sal today and I have to say it's top-notch. Looks brand new and fired right up once installed. He's earned my business in the future.
