Re: power seat
I ran a quick search, and came up with this. Notice, 0 bids. I'd be looking for something close in a junk yard, or maybe a 55-57 bird switch.

Re: power seat
That's pretty typical of a lot of EBAY sellers. The bad part is when someone actually buys at that price, and then sets the new rape standard. That and the televised auctions are helping put the hobby out of reach for the middle class.

Re: power seat
My neighbor has a power front seat from a '56 Crown Vic that he uses for
a lounge seat in his man cave in the back of his garage. Has lots of beer stains (adds patina) over the 30 years of bench racing get togethers. .

Re: power seat
May try and look for '56 Lincoln. I know all Premieres came with 4-way power seat. Not sure about Capri. In '57 the Premiere went to 6-way power seat.
The drive system on all of these are an odd worm gear and solenoid system. I replaced my power seat frame and drive system [non-op] with power tracks from a mid-60s Caddy. Works like a charm. -RBR |
