model A shipping
I just bought a slant window in the San Antonia area and need to get it shipped to central FL. If any one is coming this way with with space on their trailer or if anyone knows of a good shipper that is reasonable, please e-mail me [email protected].
Thanks JBC |

Re: model A shipping
Try UShip.com
I used it to ship a Jeep from FL to NJ and did it at a very reasonable price in an enclosed trailer. |

Fed EX use to ship cars and did a great job. But I think they sold that business to another company and I do not have the name of the new company. But if you go on the Fed Ex web site, they may give it to you.
Here is a web site that may give you some info. http://www.carshipping.com/

Jim/TX posts this all the time:
To find a shipper for your car, check out: www.uShip.com Get personalized service. Deal directly with the guy who will drive the truck moving your stuff. I have done it twice now and had great results. |

Re: model A shipping
I would go over to the HAMB and look up Racinman (Rick) or BenD both of them are first class car guys and will treat you car like it was theirs. If use Uship you have no idea who will get your car or IF you will even get it.
To may horror stories from bokers and low $ haulers.............

Re: model A shipping
I have only had a car shipped one time, about two years ago. From Pennsylvania to California. I wanted a closed carrier, and figured my best bet was to find someone based in California. I ended up using All American Auto transport out of Burlingame, CA. I cannot speak highly enough of the service I received. They made all the arrangements for pick-up on the PA end, were in California 5 days later, within a half hour of when they told me they would arrive. The Model A was in a beautiful truck, complete with sleeper and a very professional driver. Just shy of $2000 for the service, and worth every cent.

I had great service from a company I found in uShip. See link in signature.
You will get offers from brokers, but they don't drive the truck. You will also get offers from drivers that are out on the road trying to find their next load that will work them back toward home.

Re: model A shipping
I too have used U Ship. They gave me several shipper to choose from. I looked at each, from just a guy that has a trailer and a pick up truck to enclosed climate controlled transportation.

Re: model A shipping
Make sure it is only going to be on one truck. Some haul it part way and then transfer it to another truck, some times as many as three or four times. You got a nice slant window by the way.
