This will be the second time in this location, there was a swap there last May. Turnout last May was decent for a first time, hopefully better this go around. Weather is predicted to be cloudy, but no rain, so come on out and help to make this time better than last.

We need to get people back outside and away from their computers and EBay. Meet the guy your buying from and establish relationships, that is the best way to assure you are getting the part and quality you seek. Maybe even find a new source...

There is also the Air Museum and from what I am told, a pumpkin patch next door, so other things to do there as well.

It's a revival of the flashlight swapmeets, so come early and bring money!

Man, I sure do miss going to swap meets. There aren't any here, and not enough old Ford folks to have one. And I just can't see spending $$$$ in air fare just to go to one. I love seeing the pictures in the magazines of swap meets. I wish someone would post some here on the Barn.
Maybe a swap meet thread , just pictures of every vendors table. Nah, probably just torture me when I see the one part I need, and no way to get it!

Ralph, I agree with you. Even down here in the Anchorage area swap meets suck. If you want four wheel drive parts or newer car parts I guess that they are ok, but like you stated not enough old Ford people around & those of us that are tend to hold on to what we have as it's just plain getting harder to find stuff up here. Every time I go outside I try to plan it arround a car show and or a swap meet. TSA & the airlines hate me. I always come back loaded. You might visit the HAMB if you havn't yet as there are a few guys that are really good at posting pictures of car shows & swap meets all over the lower 48. A lot of times they post pictures of the asking prices & phone numbers of cars & things for sale. I know that they are more geared towards the modern hot rod end, but there are a lot of stock old Ford bodies & parts & a lot of flathead powered cars. Bill

Brendan, You got a good buy with that transmission! Did you take a looksee inside, I hope? I think if I had needed one, I'd have bought that whole pallet of goodies!

You know, we could have bumped elbows and not have known it. Someone should make up some Ford Barn badges! I know it's been discussed in the past.

Watch out in a few days, I will make a thread about down under swap meets. I am going to at least 4 in the next 3 weeks including our biggest at Bendigo in Victoria. 6 Swaps altogether within next month, so will see if I am all swapped out by 4 or not, am aiming for all 6. ACT Canberra, VIC Croydon, Romsey, Bendigo NSW Queanbeyan, Eastern Creek. Will post pics of any early V8 parts or cars .

Here are a few photos I snapped at the Swap Meet. Actual cars and parts! It was a good day starting out in the wee hours with people checking out spaces and trailers by flashlight.

Expect another swap in the spring.
