Default Quick question re valve springs.

Hello!
Just a quickie.

If you have a valve spring with closely wound coils at one end only, should the end with the tightly wound coils go towards the guide, or the keeper??

Or does it not matter which way around they are fitted?

Thanks in advance.

Mart.

The tight wrapped coils go on the guide, or another description, against the block, or up.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm not sure of the answer yet.

I've always put the close would end to the guide. Less mass of the spring to control.
