It is your and other's thanks that makes all of the effort well worth it. Every minute I'm driving I imagine all of you in the back seat and what would be interesting to show you. Keeps me on my toes and on the lookout.

We just did the one week trip on the Pacific coast two months ago: (https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=224808)

That was the end of my bucket list. I could hardly believe I had actually driven every place I wanted to drive.

When my wife told me she'd be gone a week I didn't know what to do or where to drive. There was nowhere left I wanted to go but I knew I didn't want to stay home. At the last minute I came up with this trip. There may still be others. She'll be gone in November for 4 days so I'll have to come up with something then.

Graig, a toasty 74 inside,we drove most of yesterday in the middle of the days heat and the inside temp in the 33 was 39.2 C,
Windscreen open and vent shut as our feet got cooked.
Love your trips,
Like you,we love traveling in our old Ford.

On our trip across Nevada and southern Idaho two months ago it was 105 F = 40.55 C. That's hot any way you look at it. Still worth all the pain.

Old Henry, thanks for sharing, I always enjoy your trips, wish I could do the same, I am working for that day as long as my health holds. I am going to have to do it pretty soon.

Ya gotta add Lawrie to that list. He does many thousands of kilometers all over Australia in his 33 pulling a camping trailer (caravan to the Aussies).

A big chunk of granite the size of an apartment building fell from El Capitan yesterday. One hiker was reported to have been killed. You just never know when that stuff is going to happen.

Old Ron once suggested that at higher speeds it may sling out of the lower breather vent. Could be. I use the same 10W-30 synthetic, Mobil 1.

Keep the wheels a turnin'.

I think I figured it out - overdrive. My engine spins too fast over 65 mph while yours is turning much slower at those speeds because of your overdrive. Less gas, less oil. I may have to consider it.
