Default C. Drab

I pulled the rotted door panels off my 31 jalopy and found this signature on the drivers side door. I wonder if this was some part of the inspection at ford during the assembly process?

Copra Drab and Chicle Drab are Model A Colors. Perhaps that was a marking made at the factory to tell what color it was to be painted?

Thanks Chris, I thought it was from an inspector but your explanation makes perfect sense.
