'60 ford windows
have a '60 ford fairlane coupe and I want to replace the door glass. Factory manual says to remove the rollers from the window regulator and remove the glass out the top of the door. My regulator rollers are riveted onto the regulator arms. Anyone got any ideas?

Re: '60 ford windows
OEM assembly had removable rollers which were retained on a pin with a clip.
It sounds as somewhere in the car's service life, the rollers were replaced with a later replacement type (most likely a glass shop). On this later design, the riveted factory rollers were replaced with a roller that was held on with a nut.

Re: '60 ford windows
Post a picture, I'm curious. My '59 uses the red plastic rollers, the blue one pictured above is not a 1-size fits all item, although repro parts houses either missed that distinction, or do not care what they sell you. Some older glass and parts shops may have them so you could try to match them up locally.
If yours have rivets, grind them off, but they still should be able to be slid off the track with them in place. |

The blue shown above is re-pro. That style (whatever color) was used on most applications from 1959 to1971. Below is a GENUINE FORD PART PHOTO if there is a distinction ...
