Default favorite caster setting shoebox

We recently moved to the flatlands of Nevada.
Present specs (bone stock frontend with Ford Aerostar springs and 78 Olds sway bar) are;

camber +1/4* driver +1/4 Pass
caster less than 1+ driver +1 pass
toe 3/32

Great setup for driving the mountains in Oregon but down here I'm thinking of adding 1 more degree +caster and subtracting 1/32 toe might allow the car to be "pointed" rather than "driven"

Thoughts would be greatly appreciated, thankx.

I can't help but notice that you are staying true to your "old axiom".

I installed "Aerostar" springs a couple of years ago and had the local alinement shop set it to the the factory specifications in the manual. I have been very satisfied with the results.

I bought the tools to do my own alignments years ago. I just wasn't getting what I wanted from alignment shops doing "factory specs".

My factory manual lists 4 different specs for the shoebox and wagon depending on the year. I've tried them all with varying degrees of satisfaction.
The present setup I listed is pretty good for driving long distances and you can still get around a parking lot without too much difficulty. Driving long distances I'd rather point the car than drive it

I had just assumed someone here had experimented with more positive caster on a manual steering car. I think I'll add another 1/2 to 1 degree of caster depending on the difficulty of parking the car.

If you don't mind the effort trial and error might be the way to go.
