Default Why is it...

Why is it that many of the really important, potentially informative, really interesting threads such as these (just to name a few)

-BW OD thread
http://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=157687

-vibration thread
http://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=157449

-rear end or tranny growl thread
http://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showth...highlight=endy

never have closure, yet we manage to have a plethora of threads on things such as oil, timing gears, whitewalls, and such

Tbird1tbird,

Not sure how you define closure but appears in each of those threads several of the "experts" here gave their opinion.

I would also imagine that the more difficult the subject is (expert knowledge of the subject that is) fewer folks here would naturally have and advice as opposed to the subject of motor oil which everyone has an opinion.

closure simply means the root problem of those important things above was discovered and fixed. A closure loop (final posting) back to the entire Barn would have tremendous impact on all of us.

I am not suggesting that everyone have an opinion, just wishing we had answers to real life vexing problems. Failure analysis is not based on opinion but facts: what was discovered to be wrong/broken? And what was the fix? While potentially there could be multiple opinions as to whether the fix was universally accepted is not a goal, either. Merely, what did that poster do for a fix once he found the problem. The threads above and many more like it could do well to educate and help all of us. Look at those threads and see if you get my drift.

It is up to the original person that made the post to come back and say this or that worked, the problem is solved or not. Without feedback what else is there to say?
