All '34 passenger car frames were the same, regardless of body type.

There is one big difference that I know of. On my 1934 Ford 3 window coupe frame, there are a ton of holes near the rear on both sides.

On my 1934 Ford pickup frame, there are about 15 holes. Period.
Reason? I have been told that it is because of the fender mounting differences between a car and pickup. I do not know why, but I can count. Maybe because the fenders mount on the box of a pickup?
Otherwise, I cannot find any other differences other than the VIN.

Oh yeah, regarding the cars, I agree with David J. The cars are all the same.

I have also read that information many many years ago, I wish I could find that reference again. From memory open cars and pickup trucks had a thicker chassis, whereas cars having a monocoque construction didn't require the extra stiffness due to the strength inherant in the roof, therefore their chassis' were thinner.

Roadster and coupe in 1934 were the same frame. Pickup was the same but fewer holes sometimes depending on process in plant built.

Starting in the '37 model year, open cars did have a heavier (thicker guage) frame, but not before that model year.

When they started making frames for pickup only in 1942 they were stronger than car frames. And in later years they added X to conv frames for more strength and starting in 1937 stronger for conv. Cars. No difference before then
