will you post your findings when complete? You need not mention any names. Miles already told me about the head studs and the oil pump. I didn't even know a hi-perf oil pump was avail!!!!

Yes. Taking it apart today after I find the correct sockets to fit the rod bolts.

That's what miles said lol but these are the new forged rods for inserts that rich at antique engine rebuilding has made and sells to other engine builders.

Logan, those use a regular 12 point socket.

Yeah I know. I somehow didn't have a 7/16 twelve point though. Had to drive 20 minutes to a sears to get a $4 socket lol

After putting those same rods in my engine, I now have several different "brands" and styles of 7/16" - 12 point sockets
