Window garnish molding differences?
Well, much to my chagrin and continued frustration, I have "misplaced one of my '31 coupe's window garnish moldings. I am continuing to rack my senior brain as well as rechecking every cranny of the 350 square foot shop the car is in.
I fear that I will need to buy another-fortunately Fall Carlisle and Hershey are coming up. But, I don't know how to distinguish among the various offerings. I'd gratefully appreciate any illustrations, pictures or measurements helping me to get the right part for my '31. Thanks. |

Re: Window garnish molding differences?
Hi, 5 Window; As unattractive as carrying a garnish around with you may sound, that's exactly what I would recommend. A few years back, I too was looking for the same garnishes for my '30 coupe. I found a nice set labled for a '30 coupe at Hershey. Once I got 'em home - not even close . I guess you could take a tape measure and jot down the correct dimensions from the one you have. Just don't trust the label/tags.

Last night, the suggestion was made by my mother in law-who hadn't been upstairs for several years and didn't know there had ever been parts there. Divine intervention? It's always in the last place you look, isn't it? Me? I usually find the missing item AFTER I purchased a replacement.

Re: Window garnish molding differences?
Quick question about door garnish moldings. '31 Coupe, are the drivers side and passengers side interchangeable?
