32 pickup speedo cable
Where is the correct routing for a 32 pick up speedo cable , as in where does it enter the cabin. Some long forgotten person has put new floors in ours.
Also what length is the cable supposed to be? When I know I will search for a new inner and outer. The turtle faces the left ,is that correct? |

Re: 32 pickup speedo cable
The gear housing faces to the right and the cable passes through a dedicated hole in the center cross member and then is routed upward along the right side of the outside of the firewall where it is retained with a clip that is attached to a clinch nut on the firewall. It then passes through the firewall into the interior and up to the speedometer. The attached photo shows the routing on the firewall (dash). The routing is the same for both LHD and RHD '32s, fours and V8s.
The cable housing (B-17261) was 60.82" long and the inner cable (B-17262) was 61.81" in length. |

Re: 32 pickup speedo cable
At present I am having trouble finding a vendor stocking these two items. The only local NZ one is 70” long.
