Re: model b water pump adapter
This would be rare, it is more likely to be an early V8 pump adapter. They look similar but the V8 has a smaller bolt "circle" than the B pump.

Re: model b water pump adapter
I'll see if I can post pictures of it when I'm home from work, I believe the crankpulley is different than standard A.

Re: model b water pump adapter
I believe it bolts on similar to the way the fan bolts to the generator of a 32

Re: model b water pump adapter
The head is a stock A with a block off plate over the standard upper outlet.

Re: model b water pump adapter
The V8 pump is short, and normally these adaptors are designed to put them in line with the crank pulley. An unaltered v8 pump would have no place for a fan, though I think one would fit if the pulley had a means of mounting it.

Re: model b water pump adapter
It looks like it may fit behind the radiator but it would be veeery close. It was run on an a coupe race car so I'm assuming it fit.

Re: model b water pump adapter
Turns out you can buy the adapter from MACS for $59.95. This one has the Ansen name cast on the side so its not one of the modern repops.

Re: model b water pump adapter
I was browsing thru a Mac's catalog today and saw it. Interesting thread on the EV8 forum about Mac's and its shipping.

I was part of that thread. Not to change the direction of this one but I'm a parts dealer for Macs and have never had a problem with them.

Re: model b water pump adapter
You can go to the local parts store and look through the hoses. I did that last week trying to find a 2" hose to adapt a homemade coolant filter I have in mind. These days there aren't many cars still using a 2" hose, so my selection was very limited. If you do an ebay search you can look for 2" radiator hose or 2" straight hose and find quite a few with 2" on one end and a different size on the other end.
