Two of my cars have Coker and two have Diamondback. The Cokers will be replaced by Diamondback.

Reading the comments, I need to ask a question ? My pickup came from Canada and has 15" rims, I think it may have originally been built with 16" ? U guys are making me nervous about tires. The ones it now has are "firestone" and look to be in great condition but ? Should I be looking for a set of 16" rims and get DB's or just get DB's for the fifteen"rims ? I have DB on the coupe and like them very much even though I have driven it very little since installing.

When I bought my 52 F1, it had 16” rims. So I believe that’s how they were sold. My truck is a daily driver and I switched to 15” rims. There is a lot more tire availability for 15”.

So in the old days when someone had a blowout, it always caused an accident or body damage?

If the tires don't show any signs of dry rotting and you are just doing low speed local driving and don't need to get into high speed heavy traffic freeway situations I would not worry about it. On the other hand I know one can't always plan the route they are taking or the speed they will be traveling so new tires would give you more flexability and peace of mind.
I like the Coker white wall radials but they are quite expensive compared to other tires. To me a lower cost blackwall option would be nice so one can replace them more often to maintain safety with out breaking the bank.

We're running a set of 'Power Ranger' tires, 6.50/16's, on the '36 pickup.

They came on the truck when I bought it from a fellow in W. Virginia in 2007, over thirteen years ago.

Those buggers look like new still, really wear well. The guy that put them on the truck told me he bought them at a local farm supply store near Beckley.

Bias ply tires, they are a little rough riding starting out cold but settle down real fast! I really like them and they look 'period correct' for a '36 Ford PU

I will agree with your first statement, but not the second. In my opinion, stock '36 3-Window coupes are the "World's most perfectly Proportioned Car" (not 1959 Fords; that was their advertising "hook" that year. Where the hell did they get that?).
