Default Amelia Island Concours Photo Link

i hope nobody will take offense to posting this but the Amelia has been at the tops of major concours events to begin inviting genuine, original Ford flathead HOT RODS as entrants. And, what concours would invite the creations of Ed "Big Daddy" Roth?

Check it out.

Very cool. The Cigar City Concours d'Elegance, November 10 & 11, 2018 at Innisbrook Golf & Spa Resort has a "Special Class", period correct Hot Rods from 1932 to 1953. We will have some outstanding examples of original Hot Rods on the Concours field. We invite everyone to visit our website at: CigarCityConcours.com. If you have a car that you would like to enter, fill out the entry form and email it to us. There is no registration fee for either the Saturday Cigars & Cars event or the Sunday Concours d'Elegance. All we ask is that, if your vehicle is accepted, you bring an unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots.

Richard
Sorry to burst your bubble BUT I can tell you for certain that "several" owners of these "big buck" and "priceless" car's DO drive them....In particular I know the Nethercutt Collection/Museum drives their cars..all of them.....I will not mention names but I do know that their "20,000 Duesenberg" (Almost priceless) proved that a Duesenberg could go from 0-100 in second gear.....It was achieved on the 118 Freeway in LA area prior to showing at Amelia a few years ago!!!! And that another "unnamed" source got a speeding ticket in their 1932 Maybach Zeppelin.

Here's a link with some "old Fords." There are some non-Amelia related pics as you get to the bottom.

(Vic, the secrets to a good show are lots of hard work, some sunshine, and good jumper cables. Look forward to your success.)

Rock, don't you wish you had a car pictured on a stamp?

Hoop, I know that! I was at Amelia that year, I think a few of those Hot Rods will be at the Cigar City Concours d'Elegance, may even have some from Don Garlits Museum.
