1935 Pickup on eBay
Has anyone been watching this? Have you made contact with the seller?
He won't answer my emails or pick up the phone. That's generally a bad sign. Suspect that when he says "a complete steel body" that he's not including the fenders ... and that it's sitting on a '37 frame. OK as long as you know what you're buying, Be careful. (Course, I'm always too suspicious.) http://www.ebay.com/itm/121928816680...true&viewitem=

Re: 1935 Pickup on eBay
I think it is a complete truck, why would you think the fenders are not included? My question is, where is that tailgate from, no ford script.

Re: 1935 Pickup on eBay
Looks like a fairly typical rebuild that would make a nice driver. The spare tire rod looks correct but the mounting flange is not a 35 pickup flange. The crankhole has been filled. The wood floor is not correct, but a common way of redoing the bed, with other things as well that are not factory including the two windshield wiper setup. If it runs well and the sheetmetal is metal, if you were happy with it if you bought it, that's all that really matters.

He finally answered ... he says '37 frame titled as '35. (What makes some folks happy ain't necessarily going to make everyone happy. BIG difference between converting a '35 to cable brakes and using a '37 frame ... at least to some of us who would like to know what we're spending our money on.) ... and I would not pay $17k for it without inspecting it in person. I recently posted a '35 PU in South GA that looked beautiful in the pictures.

Re: 1935 Pickup on eBay
I've always been a trusting soul, and even a beat up '35 is an extremely handsome vehicle. I have done only very little ebay. Is there a way you can check up on this guy? If I were in the market, I'd like this one. It must be stressful with so little time left, glad I'm not a bidder.

Re: 1935 Pickup on eBay
The truck must not be original to Minnesota given the lack of rust from rock salt they put on the roads there during the winter months....
I'm curious about the fuel pump....

Re: 1935 Pickup on eBay
Sold for $15,800 Doesn't sound like a bad price if it is as good as it looks in the photos.

Re: 1935 Pickup on eBay
This 1935 Ford Pick-up just sold on eBay for $15,800. At that price, it seems like it was a good deal? |

Re: 1935 Pickup on eBay
Well , it looks like a good deal from here .
However , I would never buy an old vehicle sight unseen . I did it once , NEVER again ! |

Re: 1935 Pickup on eBay
I would say it sold for a good price. I am building a 35 right now and I am 9k in and it is a far, far way from that one. Even if it needs a lot of work, it is a great start to what could be an excellent truck. These trucks don't grow on trees.
