Mystery light identification...anybody?
I found this yesterday at a roadside "good junk" store.
The only marking is on the lens, (backwards) so I took the lettering pic from inside-out > I.G.C. 7523 The studs are 1/4"-20 suggesting North American built. Does anybody recognize what it fits? |

My guess is the "IGC" is the glass co. supplier for the lens and the lamp in question could be an original or after-market truck marker light.

Looks like a headlight from a motor scooter.

Looks like the cowl lamps from a 39-40 Dodge or Fargo truck.

That's what I like about this place, alot of brilliant people check in throughout the day lending knowledge & experience from all walks of life. It's my belief that collectively this forum is a resource which no search engine like Google or Yahoo can ever reproduce. Ebay has the parking lamp listed as we speak...41-47 Dodge power wagon it says. Thanks for helping be put a tag on this part fellas, I'll throw it on the shelf & someday, someone, somewhere will need it. I'm not certain why I buy this stuff...I suppose mainly to keep it from the hoarders http://www.ebay.ca/itm/300570161427?...84.m1423.l2649 |

Looks like the flutes on the lens are going the wrong way for a cowl light on the red one.
