Making a flywheel lighter has nothing to do with vibration.
I'm not sure what your vibration is.
Does the engine vibrate, or does the car shake as you release the clutch and try to start moving?

Then I would check the flywheel cover to be dialed in at .006" or less. I had the same problem with my 29 Tudor and didn't want to remove the rear end more than once, so I replaced the clutch disc with an NOS disc I bought at a swap meet, replaced the pressure plate with a good used one from a swap meet, sanded the flywheel surface with my electric palm sander, and dialed in the flywheel cover. Now it takes off as smooth as an automatic.

I don't know which operation did the trick because the removed disc and pressure plate looked good. When you install a pressure plate make sure the 6 fingers are all even and about 11/16" below the pressure plate surface.

Here's a link to good information and pictures of dialing in the flywheel cover. Herm posted lots of good pictures in reply #20. I dialed mine in with the engine installed, but to do this you have to make sure the crankshaft is either pushed all the way forward, or pushed all the way rearward during the measurements. I only take measurements at 9, 12, and 3 o'clock positions because the bellhousing will pull the flywheel cover where it wants at the 6 o'clock position.
