Default Chevy distibutor question for Bubba...

Has anyone ever considered (or did) put a second set of points in the SBC distributor that's widely used in the flat head world? If they did, what would be the timing difference in distributor cam degrees to get a good overlap? (This in regards to the "cluster points" design. I have a couple of earlier SBC distributors with the dual points but they're not as neat as the later ones with the cluster points.
