Default wiring harness

no lights, no horn. question the business end of the harness is a round disc with 9 terminals. those terminals are in 3 groups of three looking at the back side it looks like each set is tied together. so if i put one wire from an ohm meter on one wire in the back should i get continuity when i put the other wire from the meter on each of the nine terminals on the front?

No. The current is directed to the individual contacts via the three point-shaped brass contact plate that you can turn from the steering wheel.

The three terminals for the tail light are hooked together and the three terminals for the battery are hooked together. The three for the headlights are not.

No lights or horn means the two yellow wires are open at the cutout terminal (running). If not running, could be open at the firewall or ammeter (or fuse).
