Hi KULTULZ,
I wanted to write and tell you I'm sorry I haven't got you any photos yet. My son has had a chance to get them yet and I haven't got up there yet to get some photos. Hopefully soon.
Thanks

THANX! Steve ...

Listen, it is not all that important, just curious. If you can't get to it no worries.

Hi KULTULZ,
I finally have some photos of the wheel that was MODIFIED to LOOK like a cat eye wheel. 15" x 5.5". Of course it has rivets, a inner lip on the center (not smooth inner edge) and date code 54. I guess some ford used the 5.5" in 54?
Thanks again for all your help and sorry it took so long to get the photos.

Riveted centers were common until the early sixties.

FORD used 15 X 5 (1954 to 1957). First 15 x 5.5 was the wheel size (width) you have and was released for the 1961 FORD model run (HP-POL). MERC used a 5.5" wide wheel (54/56). Maybe the center was changed to use the FORD mounting pattern?

THANX AGAIN!
