Default 1934 Sedan rear fender cage nuts

I’ve been trying to remove the rear fender off a 34 fordor sedan. I was able to get some of the bolts out but some of them are stuck because the cage nuts are broken. The ones I’m having issue with are on the top and forward part of the wheel well under a channel where the door meets up with. The cage nuts seem completely surrounded by sheet metal and structure. What is the best way to get to the cage nuts? I appreciate any help.

Don't know what your problem looks like but can you cut a hole with a hole saw to get at the nut, when done tack the piece back in.

I think you can remove the quarter window mechanism panel to access the top captive nuts. Four flathead screws I believe. The captive nuts in the dogleg are probably hidden by
the wood in that area. So I guess your choice is to remove the wood or cut the heads off the fender bolts with a Dremel cut off wheel. Then as Kurt v says cut the nut out with a hole saw and then weld the piece back in with a new captive nut tacked in place. This is assuming it can be done without setting the wood on fire so you may be limited in choices.

I'm not sure if this will help. I had a bad cage nut in the same area on my 34. After some struggle I managed to remove it. With the fender off I drilled two small holes on each side of the bolt hole, I used a fender bolt minus the washer to hold the new cage nut in place and plug welded it from the outside. Ken

I'm posting pictures of the channel I would like to remove to get access to the nuts. I’m planning on removing the rivets from the door post area and separate all the spot welds(red arrows). My biggest concern is a bracket that is between the channel and floor sill(circled). Is the bracket welded to the channel? Does the bracket need to come out?
Much appreciate the help so far.
Thanks

Use a dremel tool with a cut off wheel. Cut a "flap" on three sides of the blind nut. Pull down the flap, cut out the old caged nut, insert new nut and spot weld it back in place. Or just spot weld in a new caged nut and fold back up.

Or, just cut our a square and replace the nut and spot weld it back in.
