Default station wagon rear seats

i have a 46 wagon and was trying to remove the rear seat for access to the gas tank sender. cant seem to find any bolts or release mechanism. can someone tell me how the seats are removed? thanks

Lift the rear until the back legs release from spring loaded plates in floor, then slide seat rearward slightly and lift front. The front legs are hooked under the floor. It is possible that they have been safety pinned from the underside (not factory) If so, the pins have to be removed. Good luck

thanks for that ...ill have to shoot some pbblaster around the legs...prolly more than a little rust holding them in....

make sure to look for pins, yes they are factory for 1940 at least, have 2nd and 3rd seat feet with the factory holes in them to show
