Thanks!

I have a set in Chrome from Wheel Smith, but I think others may make them as well

I purchased some True Spokes for an old T-Bird I used to have back when they first started making wire wheels. They were sealed with epoxy resin around the nipples in the well and were supposed to hold air for tubeless tires but they never would hold air without flaps & tubes. Coker makes tubes that are supposed to work well with radial tires but I never tried them. They worked fine with plain tubes & flaps as long as I used them. I finally replaced them with a different steel construction wheel due to them being a PITA to keep clean for an every day driver type car. Those particular ones had the uni-lug star pattern and I grew to dislike that set up and would never use them again. If they have standard lug patterns then they should be no problem in that respect.

One of the first people to make aftermarket wire wheels was Gary McClean. His company was Rally America which I believe is still in business. I purchased two sets from him over the years and they were excellent wheels and I ran the tires tubeless.

Pretty sure they are McLeans. I have a pair of 6" and 7" X15". They are sealed with some white epoxy type stuff.

Wheel Kid on the HAMB would be a good one to talk to if he is still hanging around there. Jimmy Mclean goes by that moniker but I don't know if it is him. He knows a lot about wheels and can ID most. There is not a lot of info on the internet about obsolete stuff. Even new stuff takes some time to track down since the suppliers like to market stuff as their own even if they don't manufacture it.

I have ordered few sets from Rally America.
They are very slow.
I placed my last order 8 months before I would need them, the car ws completed and I still did not have my wheels.
I finally cancelled the order and ordered wheels through Summit Racing. They delivered the same wheels on time (about 6 weeks) and I saved 400 bucks.
No tax, no shipping and 50 bucks cheaper per wheel.
I am ordering another set for this winter's project next week.
I have ordered 3 sets from Summit so far and never a problem.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS !!!
