Can anyone ID This banjo steering Wheel. I was told 39. If so is there any other years that the horn button will work? This will be a nice wheel after doing a little repair and paint.

Click the link below. Scroll down to post #9. JM 35 SEDAN has kindly posted pics of the different varieties of BANJO wheels. I believe you have a '37. DD

The 37-39 wheels are similar, they used a light switch and horn button, attached to a rod. What's your application?

I have another question does the slug style have any consideration . On mine you will see 1 hole on the back not 3 like the pic that DD posted.
I have a 39 drop that I would like to use. I believe I need a 39 steering mask is that correct or can I use something else? I have a 31 sedan with a flathead motor and would like to use cross Steer box. Thanks all for your help.

The 35-39 mast jacket will work or 1 1/2" exhaust pipe and have it flared at the steering wheel end..The difference is where the hole location is for the column drop(for the orig masts).Don't know what you mean by slug style.

I believe he's speaking of the three pieces that sit half-way on the three sets of spokes. If you look at the rear side of his wheel, EACH piece appears to have one hole in it's center. Looking very closely at the wheel I posted, those three thingies EACH appear to have THREE holes, compared to his ONE hole. DD

Thanks for the help for the ID of my banjo Wheel. Depending if I can find a good steering box with the correct Mast or try what deuce lover said using a exhaust tube and make my own. prefer using Ford parts when possible.Still have a lot to do before the steering box is a issue.

I have a bunch of extra steering tubes if you decide you need one.
