Default Christmas Present

Here is my Christmas Present. My wife commissioned reknowned artist Ben Barnhart to do the rendering. It is perfect, even the color match.

Sal,

Was a six, but now hidden under the hood is this with an AOD Transmission. See no need to drill the fenders. Nice catch!

TY. You are correct, not done yet. A/C and Cruise are next. Then Kevlar brakes.

Sure is different, and really nice, but THREE pedals would finish that off appropriately! DD

Thanks and was meant to be different. "Just an old man's stocker." A matter of opinion on Trans I guess. Had a 3 speed overdrive in it, put in an AOD this month and am much happier. But then, I am 75. Like I said, A/C & Criuse are next.

Thumbs up Re: Christmas Present

Super, nice, my wife would have said "the AOD is your present!" I hope it's hung in the parlor. BTW took my driving test in that model year. (it was a six)

If I'm guessing right, and you're car was a 6 cyl. with overdrive, then it should have about a 4.10 axle. Pretty ideal for an AOD. Nice.

Sal
Originally had a 6 with a standard 3 speed, 3.90 rear end and I changed it to a 3 speed O.D. only to change trans again and put in an AOD last month. Rear end ratio is perfect as RPMS @ 65 mph are about 2200. This works well my cam. Used a Speedway adaptor and it worked perfectly.

Now I have a complete 6 cyl engine with a standard 3 speed attached and a 3 speed OD, 12 volt solenoid, V8 clutch, bell housing, flywheel, etc to sell. All in great condition.

Already a nice ride, but a/c and cruise will really make it a nice cruiser. Very nice work, best wishes and much enjoyment to you. LouB.

I gotta ask, Is the Ardun airbrushed under the hood too???

My buddy has the same car and it looks like the same Factory color, sorta a golden hued Chocolate brown....
I never really went for the 50's Ford's but the body lines and side trim really make them look smart. (Barry's is a 54 but he pulled the Flathead outta and went sbf with the early non metric AOD4). The Flathead was full of water.

It turned out nice and we even convinced him to keep the bullet hole in the rear (under the tail light) after he painted it.
-With factory color matched rims and simple center caps it has an air of "back road rum runner'.

The Ardun is a photo not air brushed. Barry's car is likely a 52 or 53 since 53 was the last year of the flathead unless the car is Canadian. Great you guys put it back on the road. These are stylish cars. I have a '33 & '34 and like them too.

Its a 54 and was also a Mercury version.
Somebody robbed the scipt from the trunk lid that said "Merc-o-matic.
Try and find a replacement for that,
un-obtainimum....
