29 closed cab pickup body mounting wood blocks
Hi guys, how many holes are there in the rear body mounting blcoks. I only had one in it that held the block to body. There were none that held body& wood to chassis on the rear. Is that how there supposed to be?

There was a long string about this topic. Go to the link below. It shows the rear mounting blocks I posted a picture of.

Re: 29 closed cab pickup body mounting wood blocks
Hi rusty, I had already read that thread but the block kit I looked at online only seemed to have one hole but both my pickups have the holes in frame. I know others have said the car frames may have not had them but I don't believe both of them had been surely.

Re: 29 closed cab pickup body mounting wood blocks
I think the bottom line of the previous rear hole/ body block string was that the rear body holes were drilled in the frame for CCPU's at the time of assembly. In other words, if the frame was any original CCPU frame, then it had the hole for the rear body bolt already drilled. However if the frame was from a passenger car, which I now believe is the case with my CCPU, the hole will need to be drilled in the frame for the rear body bolts and blocks. The rear body blocks are made for both the CCPU's (uses the outside hole in the blocks) and the other hole is used for AA trucks. That is why the body blocks have two holes in them. In the CCPU, the rear cab bolts pass through the outer hole in the cab, then the outer hole in the body block and then through the frame. Hope this helps.
