Default T5 trans

I was looking at using a T5 trans in my T speedster build, either as a auxiliary transmission or as the primary transmission; gutting the T trans and using only the brake drum. Has anyone done something similar?

Is the trans removed for the most part aside from the brake drum or is it like an auxiliary transmission?

But Red, the guy you posted the link on has a three speed with overdrive behind a two speed T. That only gives 12 speeds forward.
He certainly needs a Ruckstel huh?

That link is only the picture, as I recall he is using it as a stand alone, bypassing the T transmission only using the clutch.
