Default Color ID?

Can anybody tell me what color for sure green is on the body of this Model A? I have searched and searched and people seem to get the names mixed up and call 10 different colors the same name.

It looks like red to me but I have been meaning to get the color adjusted on my monitor. You might order a paint guide from MAFCA (mafca.org) and make the comparison yourself.

Here is the problem, The camera interprets the color of the object one way due to lighting replection etc. the program that changes the TIFF to another tpye like Jpg interpets the color, The monitor makes an interpretation of the color and show up on the screen. Get the paint guide and determine it for yourself.

I agree that your best bet is your own copy of the Paint and Finish Guide and compare colors in person yourself. With that said, I've done more than a little photography for both electronic media as well as print media. I'm afraid I'd have to do some serious computer "trickery" to turn that into a true Model A body color. If you really need to know the color that was used, i.e., 2005 Kia or something, you will need to find the painter that did it.

Ask at a meeting of your local Model A Club (you do belong to one?) if someone has a paint guide from MAFCA that you could look at. If you are about to embark on a serious restoration you should probably buy your own copy.
