Default Lake pipes

I've got a 1949 Coupe and looking to put a set of single tip lake pipes on it. What length are you using? pictures and length will be appreciated. Thanks Bob

As I recall I used the 60 inch ones from Speedway on my 54 Merc. The ones from speedway were excellent quality.

Hold a tape measure from where you want them to start to where you want them to end. That will be your length. I’ve never used them but I would think 6”-12” would be a big deal in personal preference. The length somebody else used may not be what you like…..Mark

O.K. what length do you want? Do you want them to run the full length of the lower rocker panel? Or do you want some other length? Everybody is different and you need to look at what is pleasing to your eye. Go to a car show or two with your tape measure and look at customs with lake pipes. It's up to you to find the length.

My '48 has lake pipes and measure about 60". But to extend the full length of the rocker panel they would need to be about 72". Your wheelbase may be a few inches longer, but I think 72" would be fine, tho.
