Brake Bleeding on 1940 Sedan
Weather is getting nice in Northern Michigan and I'll be out putting on that last rear brake cylinder soon and start the bleeding process again.
Quick question....when bleeding should I leave the Master Cylinder open or close it up with the plug each time I fill it up ? Thx.... Mike |

I always replace the plug each time I "pump". Remember, pump slowly.

You can cap it if you want, but it's not necessary. Just remember to keep the fluid level in the master cylinder high enough so you don't pull any air into the system.

I agree with Mart. Without the cap on, when you pump it, you'll get fluid all over the place.

Coop .....
I feel sorry for you guys down there. My Neighbors brother is having a hell of a time with that storm damage and then to make matters worse he got a HUGE electric bill ! I shouldn't complain about Northern Michigan, but the weather does change day to day pretty quickly here ! Good luck ! Mike |
