Why are people flashing their headlights at you? Sounds like something is causing that reaction from oncoming drivers.

Thread back from the dead.

Has anyone managed to order anything from the Logolites web site checking out as a guest? Tried every which way on multiple devices and browsers etc. and it keeps complaining about the telephone number.

It doesn't accept the Logolites telephone number either ...

I ordered as a guest, but I don't recall an issue, but then again, I have a US phone number. Is a phone number a required field? I don't remember. What I do remember is that their online ordering system as a guest is rather funky.

Yes, the phone number is the first required field. I've tried US and local numbers. It rejects them all.

These are not warm lights because the cool white lights illuminate items better. Feel you can easily google this. There will be an article coming out in the May/June issue of the MAFCA Restorer magazine that evaluated several warm white and cool white light bulbs. The cool white or yellow tinted bulbs do not work as well for this reason European countries have laws requiring the cool white bulbs. Hope this helps.

In daylight I've noticed some modern cars coming towards me w/led headlights, the lights seem to flicker, but I don't doesn't see it at night.
Anyone else noticed this?

If a modern car came with halogen lights, sometimes the OEM's way of getting daytime running lights is to supply a low voltage to the bulb. When those bulbs are replaced by the owner with LEDs, the daytime low voltage causes the LEDs to flicker. At night, when the lights are "on," they get full voltage and act normally.

Hello, might be that the original aiming is for similar era cars, newer cars drivers probably sitting closer to the ground than in 1930s so they are eye level with Model A headlights. I also get a lot of waves with hand signals not so sure most people know what they are.

Purchased a set. The visibility is incredible. Still looks wrong to me, but I can't see them while I'm driving anyway. Mine flicker, previous LED's did too. I'll figure that out.

One added 'bonus' I see is since the new LED bulbs don't use the reflector, my front turn signal lights, which are in the reflectors, show up much better when the headlights are on.

I installed the focused beam LEDs a few months ago and am very pleased with them. With the stock generator adjusted to its lowest output, I still get a slight positive charge on the ammeter. I also have LED tail lights.

I asked the company if they offered a club discount, and what it would take.

The reply back was "We offer Model A clubs a 20% discount on a minimum $1000 order after discount ($1,251 before discount), not including shipping charges. The order must be on a club letter head. The order can be prepaid with a check. The order may also be charged to a credit card but a 3% processing fee will be added. The order may be comprised of any of the products, except replacement parts, on our website."

In rough figures, you would need to order 26 bulbs to get a discount of $251, and essentially, get 5 bulbs free.

He needs to see your website to prove that you are a car club, and not an individual pretending to be representing a club.

I have shown him website, didn't buy it. Have sent him references to the car club and web site from Hemmings and MARC sites. See if he buys that.

All of this work kind of leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Driving season almost over, maybe I will wait and see if the prices will come down by the time that Spring rolls around....

Let's check back on Mar 21st and see. The price at the LL website is $49.95 as of today. I bet the price will be $52 or lower on 3/21, i.e., either up less than 5%, unchanged, or decreased.

I too, installed the LED Focused Beam LED Headlights, Run Lights, and Brake Lights prior to driving to Texas in June. The headlights draw 1.3 amps each and the tail and brake lights with brakes applied draw less than 1 amp. Old school guys like NDNCHF and myself still running generators will like the low power requirement and not having to fiddle with the 3rd brush anymore. I just set the generator to about 3-4 amps and forgot about it. As far as brightness, big improvement over incandescent bulbs. Yes, they are expensive but, I'm looking for any advantage or improvement I can get regarding safety and these bulbs really help during night-time driving.

I am currently using the 12v halogen head lights which have their own
reflectors with larger holes for the bulbs. Would I be better off getting the bulbs in the picture or use the original reflectors and get the bulbs mentioned above?
