The Nickle A Region of MARC had our annual Corn Roast today. On the trip home one of our members had the misfortune of breaking the clutch release bracket located on the lower shaft that passes thru the bell housing. i volunteered to help with removing the broken part and installing a new (or good used) one. Can anyone tell me the easiest way to remove the existing rivet and broken bracket? I would be very greatful for that information. Thanks. Don/WI

Not sure what Clutch Release "Bracket. Are you referring to the clutch release arm as the one in the picture? Pretty common for them to break.

I just tapped out the pin with a hammer and punch and tapped in a new pin after replacing the arm. Hope that helps

If the rivet has a head on it, center punch the rivet and carefully drill it with a small diameter drill (1/8 inch) to about 1/4 inch depth. Then use a drill bit the same diameter as the rivet. That will remove the head of the rivet. Then use a punch and hammer to drive out the rivet.

Not originally but I suppose that would work if the bolt fit in the hole(s) tightly.
