Default oil pump gears

Just took my oil pump apart and noticed that the idler gear has a flat side and a beveled side, which side goes towards flat plate?

Do your gears look like these?

First pic is of the original gears, second pic shows the replacements.

Also I added a pic of the bottom plate so you can see the contact marks.

Great! thanks for the pictures, the first one looks just like mine both bevels down towards pan. Not sure if it mattered, but didn't want to screw it up, thanks again!

I’am thinking the bevels down to reduce friction against the bottom plate?
