Sunny, do you have a picture of your oil filter set up that you could share?
Tnx, Ken

Re: Model A oil filter test
I did one better, I filmed a video for y'all regarding the engine filtering system and I talk a bit about my multifuel experiments. https://youtu.be/sY8uLCMjBLU

Can you produce any evidence for your claim that oil filters put “a lot of strain” on the oil pump? |

Re: Model A oil filter test
Sure, I was referring to the full flow oil filter system, shooting a video now explaining now about the oil filters and pump pressures.

Re: Model A oil filter test
the engine wont strain since the pump is basically on a worm gear, but the pump internally has a tendency to shoot the pressure up, especially on certain oil filters. the drain back valve is normally closed when the engine is shut off, and when the engine starts it will open up under pressure, the point though to open it is higher than the A pump is built to take. so, I agree, it won't be noticeable at first. the oil pump won't show anything wrong right away. But over years of using higher-pressure, somethings going to give. that pump moves huge amounts of oil, its high volume, but it wasn't really intended for pressure. the gears inside will be pushing on something that pushes back, unlike the stock engine where the oil flows freely.
