Default 8 RT water pump kit ,long truck style

Need some info on the brass shield or slinger that comes in the kit ,I need to know where it goes in the pump or if its even used ? Thanks

Could you post a picture? That would be helpful. Where did you get the kit and are the pumps modified, such as ball bearing?

They are ball bearings pumps, kits came from Early Ford Parts in Sc

The old seals I pressed out didn’t have brass washer

I don't use them when rebuilding the pumps.
