I am curious, why would anyone want to put a water pump on a Model T?

Some people have found thar restricting the flow of coolant sometimes helps the overheating problem . They claim that their coolant perculates too fast and does not give it enough time to cool in the radiator to do a good job at cooling the engine.

Rodney:

You are probably correct but is that not what thermostats are for?

ii have been told that some people cut a peice of metal and make a plate the same size as the water inlet on the side of the block. Then drill two 1/8" holes in it. Then they have a natural flow and no thermostat to stick on them.
