Our Model A group says "if it ain't broke, fix it till it is broke." And we seem to do a lot of that.

I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but, I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Tiny,
My Rubber chicken doesn't reflect TROUBLE, he just reflects my state of MIND???
His feet, hanging out of Minervas' trunk lid, eliminated that PESKY rattle! LOTS of FUN, when going through fast foods places, especially Colonel Sanders LITTLE kids loved it Even Old "KIDS"---Chief always said, "We are ALL little kids, in OLD SKINS"

Jerry and I are in the same club up here in Redding. Break downs earn you the rubber chicken. I'm the current recipient, due to a blown condenser. Although I have not taken ownership of it yet.
Now mental break downs....

If you use a screwdriver on something that isn't a screw you will likely screw it up.

And if the starter doesn't turn........twist the key harder.

This was in the ignition of the Honda lawn tractor I just got. Bending a steel key 45* takes a bit of force.

One of my mentor mechanics when I first got into cars used to constantly comment that 90% of all the fuel or carburetor issues he sees were ignition related, but I could never figure out how gas was pouring out of the coil... must have had a loose screw holding the wire
