Will a 31 Cabrio Quarter fix a Coupe Quarter from the Body line down?
Hello, guys need some help!
Will a Cabbie Quarter fix a coupe quarter from the smaller body line down? I think it will. Just seeing what you guys think? Appreciate it! Jim |

Re: Will a 31 Cabrio Quarter fix a Coupe Quarter from the Body line down?
I can tell you with 100% certainty NO.
As an owner of a 68C where I needed the full lower area of both qtrs I researched my options. My brother has a coupe so I could look close. I have also talked to many cabriolet guys. The cabriolet quarter panels are the same for all years though the 31 panels have a 1" hole for the lower landaus. They are unique in all dimensions and shape as the doors close flush and the proportions in front and behind the wheel well are different. On the other hand, really it is not so bad to make the metal from scratch for any of the bodies. I did it with an arbor press and junk I had laying around. |
