Headlight buckets
Are the AR (1928) headlight buckets and conduit ferrule attachments to the bulb socket different in size to the 29 sockets. That is, if I have a ‘28’ grill shell with the smaller conduits must I change the headlamp sockets? I do not have any way of physically checking at this point. Thanks

Re: Headlight buckets
The single bulb sockets are smaller and were used from the beginning of production to February 1929 with fluted headlight lenses. You can see that the socket hole in the bottom of the headlight is smaller than later headlights. Also, there is no Ford logo engraved in the top of the headlight.

Re: Headlight buckets
H-type were fitted with 1/2" conduits (two wires). The later Twolite used 9/16 conduits (two or three wires). FSB 3/29 p.329 says to increase the size of the radiator shell conduit holes from 13/16" to 15/16"and use grommets A-14567-B when retrofitting the Twolite to earlier models.
