I've had several NOS '33 grilles and some very, very good used ones and all have argent silver paint on the bars. It shows up clearly in both U.S. and Canadian Ford archives photos.

I used the DCC 586 that Dave Rehor mentioned. I had the guy that mixed it added a flattner called “eggshell”. Attached is a photo. I think it is perfect! David

I think the Concept paint is out of production now but I'm not sure. If the distributor doesn't have the information on that then they must have chucked it. DCC Concept is new enough to be on digital format files. I don't know why they can't access that unless they never handled much Concept paint back when it was popular. The last I used it was around 10-years ago. I miss that stuff too. It was good paint.

They still make Concept but depends on where you live whether it's available or not.
