Default throttle control

Any helpful hints on bending throttle control arm (not rod) ? Push down full on accelerator button and throttle is still about 1/4" from fully open. Zenith carb. Nothing is in the way of the accelerator as it bottoms out with still room above floorboard. Thanks, Bill

Maybe get one of those "collars" to adjust the length of the rod between the ball on the throttle control and the ball on the carb? I'm not sure how bendable those control arms are, and you certainly don't want to break it.

I have had good luck cold bending the arm at the carb.
If you have a 2tooth column it can be shifted by loosening the clamps, but if it was me I would bend the arm at the carb.

Does it go to full open with the hand lever? If not the arm at the firewall may be bent. Mine was off after a carb change, I bent the arm cold with a 6in adjustable wrench using the handle hole!

We have done them cold using a box wrench. Just go slow and it has always worked out for us in the past. Just put the arm into the open end on the box wrench and slowly bend the arm in the direction that you want it to go.
