Default Who can 6v to 12v shop SoCal

Looking for a shop that can do this for me. Also set the timing and other small things. I’m not in a rush but want a good job. I’m located in Orange County, Ca.

Not a difficult job at all, so should be a lot of candidates. I would check with any local V8 club members or other locals that work with older cars.

It’s a 36’ Ford Phaeton v8. I wanted to do the conversion myself but just looking to have it done right and she won’t start. So other issues need to be fix. Hot rod shop?

Welcome to the Forums mlhayes5.

So it's 6V now, and it doesn't start?

I would suggest you have them resolve the other issues first. And then maybe leave it 6 volt, especially if you care about originality. 6 volt is unforgiving; things need to be right. But otherwise, nothing inherently wrong with 6 volt.

Leve it at 6 volts unless you are attempting to have updated electronics in the car. A good 6 volt battery a good ground to the block and a 6 volt system is rarely the root cause of an issue.
Just my thoughts
