Default Correct distance

Just how much space should there be from the fan to the radiator on my 59ab engine with stock fan and genertor. My radiator will probably will end up installed on top of the front cross member, making the radiator shroud higher that the cowl on the 27 t. Is this a bad thing! I see a few aroud so I am assuming I would not get laughed at. Pictures or friendy advice appreciated.
Regards

I like to get my fans to within 1/2 inch of the radiator core. You need to make sure the motor doesnt move when you step on the clutch pedal. If you put a 27 body on a flat top frame, you need a custom radiator. I had Portell of DeSoto Missouri make me a radiator to fit a 28 Ford, then section it 1 1/2 inches, then I sectioned a 28 shell 1 3/4 inches. It all looked good when finished and fit the 27 body. I used an 8BA with a 49 truck fan assembly, and a one belt system.
