Installing child carseat in RPU in NZ
Hi guys,
This is a bit of an odd one, and maybe specific to New Zealand depending on whether regulations are involved. I want to take my 5yr old stepdaughter in my Roadster Pickup from time to time, and I am trying to think of how to mount her carseat solidly considering there are no pillars or any seatbelts right now. I really don't want to make too many unsightly holes in the body.. I am wondering about an eye to the wood on the tray head board? I saw a similar pickup to mine driving around Petone a year ago with a child carseat in it, he had a tie down strap coming from the rear tray somehow. Would love a close look at that. Anyone got any ideas?? I am also wondering whether I get into any legal issues with mounting points? Considering they came out with nothing, something is better than nothing at all, right? Thank you all for any advice received.. Kindest regards Steve |
