Re: aprx value of 34 ford 3 window
That's were I have gotten the 33-34 coupes I have (5-windows, so more of them) is ex-dirt track cars. Always fun to fix! Some have the firewalls removed others the floors, etc and always striped of hardware.

Re: aprx value of 34 ford 3 window
Detail pictures are the only way you are going to get a fairly accurate appraisal on this forum. I can tell you that in the end, its worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. Big prices are great but you have to have a buyer willing to pay! There are a lot of games played with 32s and the more rare 33/4 cars on pricing. They show up with a big price then 6 months later another price and so on. Who really knows in the end what they go for. A 33/4 three window un butchered is truly a more rare car and very desirable besides being the deluxe of the coupe line and fewer made than the 5 windows.

Don't need photos. Garaged for 30 years. Totally stock. If complete, she'll go for a minimum 50K. I wouldn't pay that but a lot of people would.

Re: aprx value of 34 ford 3 window
I watch the '33/'34 market pretty closely and the prices seem to be coming down along with the stock market. I just passed up a really nice '34 3-W locally for $48,000. It was restored years ago but presented very well and was complete with a working radio, almost perfect LeBaron Bonney interior, and decent paint. It started and ran well and had properly installed hydraulic brakes. If I didn't already have a 3-W I would have bought it. It had been for sale for a while. A few years ago this 3-W would have sold in the 60K+ range. Roadsters that were selling few years ago in the 70-90K range can be purchased in the 50K range now. The same can be said for woodies, Victorias, etc. You see high prices in the magazine and internet ads but they seldom sell at the prices asked. I passed up a "builder" '33 roadster that a friend had in the 28K range recently because it would take another 60K to finish it in a way it deserved.
Buy what you want in the best condition possible, as close to completed as possible, you will be $$ ahead in the long run whether you decide to keep it or not. For 50K it had better be a superb car. Best of luck. |

Re: aprx value of 34 ford 3 window
In 1960 I bought a channeled 34 3W. I was in love but my mom not so much. I took her down to Hall's speed shop in Wichita to get a value. They said about $50 bucks. I had traded a SBC cam and distributer for it. It was not chopped and had a Columbia rear. It did come with two NOS in factory boxes 34 grills. No interior, motor, or trans. I think I ended up getting$75 for the whole deal. Times have changed but I thought it was worth 50K then.

Re: aprx value of 34 ford 3 window
That is a 5-window, not a 3-window, there will be a price difference between the two.

Re: aprx value of 34 ford 3 window
I paid 45k for a no rust all stock running w/ orig.engine ,an amateur restoration of a real nice dry car.I think the 50k mark isn't too crazy,if it truly is a no rust car.

Re: aprx value of 34 ford 3 window
Interesting thread. I chased the 3-W body shown in this photo for seventeen years. Usual story: the owner had great plans for the bare body but was always waiting for the time to do something with it. Finally, I was able to conclude a sale. I literally pieced the car together from other parts on hand or accumulated: chassis, mechanical, interior and sheet metal. I bolted together the entire car to see what I needed and where fit and other concerns would pop up. I am now in the mist of an actual restoration of this 34. To help put the "value" in perspective, I have $24,000 in the car, as shown. Tens of thousands yet to be "invested".

Re: aprx value of 34 ford 3 window
Agreed, your project would sell for more then 24k.
Take a look at the three window listed on the auction site. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Other-/...m=131835070081 |
