WARNING: GREY ‘33-34 glove boxes

Maybe I am behind the times, but in April, I bought a 33-34 glove box from C&G. The web site shows the traditional, standard box with brown interior.

Today opened the package and it’s GREY!! WTF…. I called to return it, but the rep said they are all grey now, and have been for a few years. I would have rather kept the beat up original than this one. I’m the opposite of a hoarder, I toss stuff.

I went to some web sites, and EBay, all show a photo of the correct brown box, but sell you the grey box, just a heads up.

I took the gray box apart, and will spray glue on some brown felt.

Look for a spray can of brown upholstery dye at your auto parts store.

Yea, I have SEM rattle cans, but it doesn’t come out as nice as new felt

Tan felt is out there, here is the glove box we did for our 32.

Maybe a hobby source for making small boxes or backing for plaques, or even taxidermy supplies?

I would say that your buyer be aware message needs to be applied to most of the items ordered today. I have had several occurrences recently where description and or the actual specs are different than original or do not fit as original parts. I’m appreciative of the volume of parts available but it would be nice to know up front how well it fits or if it meets original specs.

Gray glove box now brown

We sell them as well. There is only one source for them and for some reason the recently went to gray on them all. I have complained but we are a smaller vendor so I doubt they will fix it.
